Salmon Season To Remember

Being my first salmon season on the fly it has been quite an adventure. I'm not going to go into to many details but have some great pics to share. It all started when I got the bug up on the upper ct river. Then we started fishing one of our great fisheries almost every other day. we had some banner days and some slow ones. With closing day being the most epic day. After our season had ended it was time to search for different options. So I decided to put some time learning a river in Mass that has a nice run of wild landlocked salmon. After one day of scouting and getting skunked went back following day and managed one of the nicest looking salmon I've got all year. Spent many other days there with a few to net some hookups and dumps the place always leaves me wanting to come back for more. I plan to hit it again in following weeks. I managed to sneak off to VT for weekend to catch tail end of the salmon season. Had many hook ups and got 4 nice fish to net one being my biggest landlocked to date. Also Saturday ran into local fly fisherman Matt Lavalle. Who met up again with me on Sunday to do some sight fishing for some huge landlocked seeing many well over 25"s.
Planning on sneaking up again to VT before year is up try to get that Steel I've been after over there with Matt.  Well enough mumbo jumbo here are some pics
